Bucknell University is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics, beginning August 2027, specializing in current heterodox approaches. Candidates from any research field are welcome, with particular interest in emerging areas that expand the curriculum, including the economics of artificial intelligence and digital transformation, ecological economics, complexity economics, and macroeconomics.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in economics by the start of the appointment; candidates nearing completion will be considered. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in heterodox economics, excellence in undergraduate teaching, and strong scholarly potential.

The successful candidate will teach five courses annually, including intermediate macroeconomics and heterodox electives, advise students, and contribute to departmental, university, and professional service. Additional teaching may include introductory economics and interdisciplinary courses.
